An Expert Clinician Who Cares…
Biography
After many years of personally being impacted by the health care system, I believe that quality care is personalized and about spending one:one time with patients. Personalized care empowers patients to take control of their physical health and use education as power over the long run.
Foundational to all rehab planning is learning tools that work. I fundamentally believe in tools of movement, exercise as medicine and working to regulate our nervous systems. The core of my clinical practice is personalized rehab plans driven by care and science. I strive to stay current in the ever changing fields of rehabilitation science, exercise science, pain science and resiliency tools to optimize physical health. Staying on top of the evolving body of research allows me as a clinician to offer you personalized medicine and science based tools that work.
Most importantly, I am committed to the pursuit of lifelong learning by staying connected to the changing research in the exciting field of oncology rehabilitation.
Therapy starts with meeting you, the patient, where you’re at, without judgment. Ultimately the goal is to help you trust your body’s restorative capacity, balance your nervous system and experience adaptation. Experiencing results through rehab plans can lead to feelings of empowerment and optimism, ultimately reclaiming agency after a period of time where your body felt like it was against you.
his personalized bio-psychosocial approach is coupled with up to date best practices informed by ongoing post-graduate training. My B.Sc with Honours and Master’s of Physical Therapy both from UBC built a foundation for critical inquiry and a reflective practice that I continue to develop to this day. You can trust my experience:
over 13 years of experience with exercise and rehab planning
over 8 experience post Master’s graduation working as a licensed physiotherapist in BC

In addition to a muscoloskeletal foundation, I have developed expertise in the field of cancer rehabilitation. Inspired by the growing need in this area of care, I have completed many courses in head and neck cancer rehab, and breast cancer rehab such as courses led by the director at the UBC clinical exercise physiology laboratory, and leading breast cancer rehab researcher Dr. McNeely. I have also attended leading bone metastasis webinars and oncology rehabilitation conferences.
I am a certified PINC&STEEL cancer physiotherapist for all female and male cancers; in addition I am a certified PORI Oncology Rehab specialist, cancer exercise therapist and oncology vestibular therapist.
I have committed my professional career to empowering those with cancer with tools of science and rehab and so far it’s been an honour, really. When I'm not seeing patients, you can find me doing cross fit @Taranis, training for the Tour de Victoria, cuddling my golden retriever @thegoldendaysofjune and playing in the ocean year round!
Looking forward to connecting.
